KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) is committed to managing the International Media Centre in conjunction with the 57th ASEAN Economic Ministers’ (AEM) Meeting and related meetings, drawing on its extensive experience in handling numerous major conferences in the past.

Its Chief Executive Officer, Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin, said Bernama was chosen as the coordinator of the media centre this time based on its strong track record in providing comprehensive support and coverage at international-level events.

“Taking into account Bernama’s experience in assisting with the implementation of media centres for several major meetings previously, I believe that this time Bernama can carry out the task well, while also gaining further experience as we prepare for the hosting of the 47th ASEAN Summit next month,” she said during her visit to the agency’s media centre at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) today.

At the same time, Nur-ul Afida said Bernama also played a crucial role in ensuring the dissemination of accurate and timely information throughout the meeting, including providing news content, photographs, and video recordings for both local and international media.

Bernama is the Official Media and Coordinator of the International Media Centre for AEM 57.
