KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 11 (Bernama) -- The ASEAN Amazing Hunt 2025, organised by Kelab Kakitangan Bernama (KKB) today, offered participants an enjoyable and interactive platform to deepen their understanding of ASEAN.

Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) editor-in-chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj said that, to mark Malaysia’s chairmanship of ASEAN this year, Bernama has been entrusted with providing a media centre and serving as the hosting agency.

“We are taking this opportunity to organise a programme that strengthens understanding of ASEAN, while also giving club members a platform to build closer ties among staff and with external parties,” he said after flagging off participants of the programme here.

Also present were Bernama’s acting deputy editor-in-chief of News Services Mohd Shukri Ishak; Management Services and Finance head Sharifah Zaini Syed Zain; and Takaful Malaysia chief distribution officer Yassir Azlin Abdul Ghafar

Arul Rajoo, who is also the KKB president, said such initiatives not only foster a spirit of togetherness among Bernama staff but also strengthen strategic ties with corporate partners.

Meanwhile, Yassir Azlin said that the company’s involvement in the programme reflected the close ties between the Takaful industry and media agencies, while also demonstrating a shared commitment to raising awareness of the importance of Takaful protection.

“This programme symbolises our ongoing collaboration with corporate bodies, including Bernama. We not only involve our employees but also provide Takaful coverage to all participants,” he said, adding that participants were covered by accident insurance for the full eight hours of the programme.

He said that Takaful Malaysia was open to expanding strategic collaboration with Bernama in the future, not only through event sponsorship but also by strengthening public awareness of the importance of Takaful.

A total of 400 participants, divided into 63 teams of four, are taking part in the ASEAN Amazing Hunt programme, with seven main locations serving as checkpoints, including Takaful Malaysia, Wangsa Walk and Kompleks Kraf.

All participating teams are required to complete the challenge by 2.30 pm.
