Three Malaysian Firms Win Inaugural SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 Awards
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 3 (Bernama) -- Three Malaysian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) were presented with the inaugural SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 Awards, recognising their exceptional achievements in business performance, innovation, and export competitiveness.
In a statement today, SME Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp) said the awards, which marked the conclusion of SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 on Oct 18, recognised SMEs that have demonstrated outstanding performance and export growth, particularly over the past two years.
The statement said Ventura IOT Sdn Bhd was named the winner of the Outstanding SME Award, while CG Global Profastex Manufacturing Sdn Bhd received the Outstanding Women SME Award, and Rodrell Sdn Bhd was recognised with the Outstanding Youth SME Award.
“Ventura IOT is Malaysia’s first company to integrate Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) with Smart CCTV and autonomous drone systems, offering advanced surveillance solutions to major oil and gas clients, including Petronas, ExxonMobil, and PetroVietnam.
“The company achieved an export value of RM10.3 million in 2024. Ventura IOT is a 4-star company under the SME Competitiveness Rating for Enhancement (SCORE), a rating programme by SME Corp, and one of the top five recipients of the Enterprise 50 (E50) Award 2024,” it said.
Meanwhile, CG Global Profastex Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, based in Penang, provides one-stop contract electronic manufacturing (CEM) and electronic manufacturing services (EMS), the statement added.
“With 95 per cent of its production exported to the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, France, and China, the company recorded an export value of RM7.7 million. It also obtained a 4-star rating under SCORE and was named the Best E50 Award for Exporter,” it said.
SME Corp said Rodrell Sdn Bhd, through its Komuniti Tukang Jahit (KTJ) initiative, empowers women from the bottom 40 per cent (B40) income group through sewing and upcycling programmes that transform textiles into handcrafted products.
“The company exemplifies Malaysia’s social entrepreneurship spirit by promoting economic empowerment and sustainable livelihoods. It recorded a sales turnover of RM1.3 million in 2024.
“Rodrell is also one of the Principal IB Companies under the Inclusive Business Value Chain Development Initiative (IB-VCDI) by SME Corp,” the statement said.
SME Corp also noted that the companies, evaluated based on their financial performance, innovative capacity, and contribution to Malaysia’s SME landscape — with an emphasis on annual sales and export growth—reflect the diversity, resilience, and global ambition of Malaysia’s SME sector.
SME Venture@ASEAN 2025, a three-day event, was recognised by ASEAN Records as the Largest ASEAN SME Trade Event 2025, attracting more than 16,000 visitors and generating RM520 million in potential sales through 424 business matching sessions.
The event featured 370 exhibitors from high-impact and consumer sectors, including 62 international exhibitors from ASEAN and beyond. It also facilitated RM70 million in funding through the Pitch2Go session and hosted more than 500 participants across two forums — the ESG Forum and ASEAN SME Forum 2025.
