PUTRAJAYA, Nov 14 (Bernama) -- The Ninth ASEAN-China Sanitary And Phytosanitary (SPS) Cooperation Meeting agreed to continue ASEAN-China collaboration on food, agriculture and forestry, especially to improve trade, technological adoption and the use of the electronic certification platform developed by China and the ASEAN Single Window (ASW).

The collaboration also covers efforts to coordinate mechanisms and standards related to sanitary and phytosanitary matters, in addition to expanding training programmes and human capital development.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM), in a statement today, said that the meeting also agreed to continue cooperating to ensure the success of the ASEAN-China Cooperation on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Action Plan for 2026-2027, which serves as the main reference document for ASEAN-China cooperation.
