1. LAO WORKERS' REMITTANCE REACH NEARLY RM1.5 BILLION -- VIENTIANE TIMES
Lao migrant workers have remitted about RM1.5 billion (US$366 million) in the first six months of this year. Nearly 350,500 Lao nationals are working abroad. Most of the money was transferred through the country’s banking system.
