The Cabinet reviewed various draft air transport agreements, which included those between Cambodia and ASEAN member states, China and the European Union. It is for deeper regional integration and strengthened aviation frameworks.

The Agricultural and Rural Development Bank and the Cambodian Rice Federation are discussing ways to improve the rice sector amid weakening prices of the commodity due to volatility in the global market.

1. RUSSIAN-LED NUCLEAR FESTIVAL ENDS IN YANGON -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR 

The Science Festival 2025, jointly organised by Russia’s Rosatom and Myanmar’s Ministry of Science and Technology, was held in Yangon. The four-day event was to disseminate knowledge and awareness about nuclear technology.

 

2. PAYING TRIBUTE TO VETERAN JOURNALISTS -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR 

The Myanmar Press Council has launched a fundraising campaign to support veteran journalists who contributed to the media industry. The special ceremony to honour them will be held in January next year.

1. REAL MEDIAN INCOME IN SINGAPORE ROSE 4.3% IN 2025 AS WORKERS IN PERMANENT JOBS HIT NEW HIGH - THE STRAITS TIMES

Singapore workers saw their incomes grow in 2025 after taking lower inflation into account, while the proportion of the workforce in permanent jobs hit a high of over 90 per cent, according to data released by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) on Nov 28.

 

2. SINGAPORE RE-ELECTED TO UN’S INTERNATIONAL MARITIME ORGANISATION COUNCIL FOR 17TH SUCCESSIVE TERM -- THE STRAITS TIMES

Singapore was re-elected to the Council of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) on Nov 28, according to the United Nation’s agency responsible for the safe shipping and the prevention of marine and atmospheric pollution by ships.

1. HANOI RECEIVED 30 MILLION TOURISTS -- VIETNAMPLUS

Hanoi welcomed 30 million visitors in the first eleven months of this year and the city collected tourism revenue of about RM21 billion (US$5 billion). About 2.5 million visitors arrived in Hanoi in November alone.

 

2. VIETNAM TO SUPPLY COAL TO LAOS -- VIETNAMPLUS

Vietnam has signed a contract with the Laotian government to supply coal as part of their bilateral ties. The agreement marks a new chapter in energy security cooperation between the two nations.
