Stellar International School Marks Double Milestone With New Campus, ASEAN Records Listing
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 8 (Bernama) -- Stellar International School marked a significant milestone with the unveiling of its new Stellar Purpose-Built Campus, alongside its recognition by the ASEAN Records as the first international school in Malaysia to be listed in the regional archive.
In a statement, Stellar Education Group said the institution has been recognised as the “First Mid-Sized International School to Achieve High Nationality Diversity and Rapid Online-Hybrid Learning Readiness Within an Affordable Fee Framework.”
With 693 students from 25 nationalities, the accolade highlights the school’s commitment to diversity, accessible education and future-ready learning. The announcement was made during the school’s annual graduation ceremony.
Stellar Education Group Chief Operating Officer Samuel Kang Hou En, in his address, said the new purpose-built campus represents a long-term commitment to students, families and the wider community.
“We are not introducing a building. We are introducing a purpose, a responsibility and a promise to our children,” he said in the statement.
The campus, in Medini, Iskandar Puteri, Johor, was developed with guidance from the Johor State Education Department and is one of the significant education infrastructure projects initiated in Johor in the post-pandemic period.
It is designed to accommodate 1,500 students, with future expansion potential up to 2,200 students, subject to the necessary licensing and approval processes.
Designed by PAM Gold Medal recipient Dr Tan Loke Mun, the school features learning-centred facilities including a multipurpose hall, full-sized football field, specialised kitchens, a black box theatre, gallery spaces and a swimming pool.
“With its inclusion in the ASEAN Records and the launch of its purpose-built campus, Stellar International School continues to strengthen its position as one of Johor’s and the region’s most forward-thinking international schools,” read the statement.
