CAMBODIA

 

1.RICE EXPORTS TOUCH 361,000 METRIC TONNES -- FRESH NEWS Cambodia exported 361,578 metric tonnes of rice, generating about US$207.54 million (RM837 million) in the first quarter of 2026. Of this total, 145,771 metric tonnes were exported to five ASEAN markets, earning US$56.35 million (RM227 million).

 

2.GROWING DOLPHIN POPULATION -- FRESH NEWS

The Irrawaddy dolphin population in the Mekong River has increased to 117 following the sighting of a newborn calf in Kratie province. The three-day-old calf was discovered on March 31.

 

 

INDONESIA 

 

1.INDONESIA TO EXPORT UREA TO 3 NATIONS AMID STRAIT OF HORMUZ CLOSURE -- ANTARA

Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman stated that three countries have requested urea fertilizer imports from Indonesia amid the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

 

2.STATE GUARANTEES ALL COMPENSATIONS FOR FALLEN INDONESIAN PEACEKEEPERS -- ANTARA

Chief of the Indonesian Military Army Staff (TNI AD), General Maruli Simanjuntak, confirmed that all compensations for the three Indonesian soldiers killed in southern Lebanon will be fully provided by the state.
