INDONESIA 

1. INDONESIA, AUSTRALIA STRENGTHEN TIES TO COMBAT ONLINE RADICALIZATION -- ANTARA

Indonesia's National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) sought stronger cooperation with Australia in combating online radicalization and terrorism financing during talks in Jakarta on Wednesday, April 8.

 

2. INDONESIA'S BMKG SAYS SKY OBJECT LIKELY ROCKET DEBRIS, NOT MISSILE -- ANTARA

Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said a glowing object seen crossing the sky over Malang District, East Java, was most likely space rocket debris, dismissing speculation on social media that it was a missile.

1. ELECTRIC TRUCKS TO SOLVE FUEL SCARCITY -- VIENTIANE TIMES

Laos is advocating the use of electric trucks to counter soaring fuel prices. But lack of charging infrastructure for heavy vehicles, battery-swap technology and expensive electric trucks are barriers.

The Asian Development Bank has projected a slow growth for Laos at four per cent this year. Services, power sector, construction and the expansion of regional connectivity will continue to fuel domestic growth.
