1. NEARLY 200,000 INDONESIAN CHILDREN EXPOSED TO ONLINE GAMBLING -- ANTARA
Indonesian Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid called on all parties to strengthen education and protection for families and children after nearly 200,000 Indonesian children were found to have been exposed to online gambling.
2. INDONESIA TEAMS UP WITH SOUTH KOREA TO UPGRADE 112 EMERGENCY SYSTEM -- ANTARA
The Home Affairs Ministry has established cooperation with South Korea’s National Fire Agency to strengthen and develop the 112 Single Emergency Call Number (NTPD) system in Indonesia.

1. MODERNISING MEDIA WITH VIETNAMESE SUPPORT -- VIENTIANE TIMES
Lao will seek technical cooperation with Vietnam to develop its media industry. This will include improving the accuracy of information flow using artificial intelligence tools and training media personnel over the next five years.
2. SEEKING FUNDS TO ERADICATE MALARIA -- VIENTIANE TIMES
Laos is seeking international funding to support its malaria elimination programme by 2030. The government managed to reduce malaria cases from nearly 4,000 in 2021 to just 269 last year.

The government directed the Myanma Railways, which marks its 150th anniversary next year, to upgrade its existing rail infrastructure to make it an efficient transport system. The upgrading will include station platforms, level crossings and bridges.
