2.MINISTER PROPOSES RAISING SUBSIDIZED DIESEL QUOTA FOR 2027 -- ANTARA

Indonesia’s energy minister proposed on Monday increasing the country's subsidised diesel quota to between 18.80 million and 19 million kiloliters for the 2027 budget, up from 18.64 million this year.

Lao is encouraging more Japanese investors to invest in clean agriculture, renewable energy, infrastructure, logistics and innovation-driven industries. Their investments can help with technology transfer and the development of skilled human resources.

 

2.RAILWAY EXPANDS BEYOND REGIONAL CORRIDORS -- VIENTIANE TIMES

Laos has joined an international railway corridor linking Laos with Vietnam, China, Kazakhstan, Russia and Estonia. It will be a major step in connecting the country’s rail network to regional and international transport corridors.

1.OPEN TENDER TO SELL TEAK, HARDWOOD -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

Myanma Timber Enterprise sells over 2,500 tonnes of teak and other hardwood logs and sawn timber through a tender process. The bidding exercise will be held on June 23 in Yangon.

 

2.TANINTHARYI’S MARINE EXPORTS SURGE -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR  

Tanintharyi Region marine products export earnings reached US$288 million (RM1.2 billion) in the 2025-2026 financial year, making it a major revenue earner for the country. Main products from the region include tiger prawns, lobsters, sea snails and live fish.

Philippines’ Department of Energy (DOE) officials are hopeful for the sustained drop in fuel prices as the initial peace deal between the United States and Iran are scheduled to be signed later this week.

Domestic oil prices in Thailand are expected to remain elevated until the final quarter of this year, even though global crude benchmarks have eased and the US is set to sign a peace deal with Iran this Friday to end nearly four months of conflict in the Middle East.
