CAMBODIA

 

1.EXPORTS SOAR IN FIRST HALF OF 2026 -- FRESH NEWS 

The General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia said international trade reached US$37 billion (RM151 billion) during the first half of 2026. Its major trading partner is China, followed by the United States. 

 

2.MINISTRY WARNS OF RISING FAKE NEWS -- THE PHNOM PENH POST 

The Information Ministry warned that “fake news” rose by nearly 30 per cent in the first half of the year. It urged the public to stop sharing unverified information on social media.

1.INVESTORS EYE 1.3 GW DATA CENTER EXPANSION IN INDONESIA -- ANTARA

A number of global investors have expressed their strong interest in constructing data centers in Indonesia with a combined capacity of 1.3 GW, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto revealed here on Friday (July 10).

 

2.INDONESIA, RUSSIA EYE MARITIME TECHNOLOGY PARTNERSHIP -- ANTARA

Indonesia is seeking to modernize its maritime industry through a strategic partnership with Russia, aiming to secure technology transfers, strengthen domestic shipbuilding and expand its share of Southeast Asia's shipping market, the Industry Ministry said.
