 1.BANYUWANGI TO HOST ASEAN-ID BLUE ECONOMY DEVELOPMENT FORUM -- ANTARA

Banyuwangi District in East Java was chosen to host the ASEAN-ID Blue international forum, bringing together representatives from ASEAN countries and partner countries to share experiences in developing the blue economy on July 17-18, 2026.

 

2.PERTAMINA IMPORTS 45.9 THOUSAND TONS OF LPG FROM US TO SECURE STOCK -- ANTARA

State-owned downstream energy subsidiary PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has completed a massive transoceanic supply mission, taking delivery of 45.9 thousand metric tons of LPG shipped directly from the US to secure Indonesia's domestic energy reserves.

 

MYANMAR

 

1.MONSOON TREE PLANTING SEASON -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

The government launched the monsoon tree-planting campaign in Minbu Township, Magway Region, to expand forest cover to mitigate the effects of climate change. A total of 3,000 saplings  belonging to eight native species were planted.

 

2.GOVERNMENT CURBING ELECTRICITY THEFT -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

The Ministry of Electricity and Energy announced that it is developing a digital monitoring system to detect illegal electricity usage. Those using electricity unlawfully may receive leniency if they report their violations by July  31.

1. DOJ FORMS MARITIME LAW UNIT TO SUSTAIN GAINS OF ARBITRAL AWARD -- PHILIPPINE NEWS AGENCY

Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Fredderick Vida on Monday said a maritime law unit has been created to serve as a “single repository” of legal information and expertise on the 2026 South China Sea arbitral ruling and laws of the seas.

During the 2025–2026 dry season, a Vietnamese military team recovered and repatriated the remains of 27 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Cambodia during different periods of war.
