KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 24 (Bernama) -- Zetrix AI Bhd posted a higher net profit of RM269.25 million in the second quarter ended June 30, 2026 (2Q 2026), from RM199.15 million in the corresponding quarter last year.

Revenue also rose to RM426.72 million from RM307.90 million a year earlier, while the board declared a first interim single-tier dividend of 0.25 sen per ordinary share, payable on Nov 20, 2026.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the digital services and technology company attributed the improved performance to subscriptions and services through its artificial intelligence (AI) platforms, as well as Web3 application service fees generated through the Zetrix blockchain platform.

These include the Malaysia Blockchain Infrastructure, ZTrade, ZCert, global voting applications, digital identity registrations and transactions, as well as sales of Zetrix Layer-1 nodes and tokens.

Zetrix AI said it expects to continue its blockchain and AI initiatives to drive organic growth during the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026.

“In addition, with a valuable partner, namely the International Finance Corporation, which is the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, the board believes that the push to expand its Zetrix blockchain and AI technology globally will be faster.

“Together with the China ASEAN AI Lab, Zetrix AI will focus on the convergence of Blockchain, AI and Robotics with localisation and customisation of these technologies to suit local market demand worldwide,” it said.

The China-ASEAN AI Lab is a Malaysia-China technology collaboration established by Zetrix AI and China’s state-owned Guangxi Beitou IT Innovation Technology Investment Group.

Zetrix AI added that its board continues to explore carving out projects from the China-ASEAN AI Lab into a new subsidiary, with the intention of listing it on an international stock exchange such as the US-based Nasdaq.

“A successful listing will enable the company to tap into a bigger pool of global capital to further propel Zetrix AI's push to be one of the leading AI companies,” it said.

It also said that, barring unforeseen circumstances, the board remains cautiously optimistic about Zetrix AI’s long-term outlook as the group continues introducing new services in Malaysia and globally.

The board also declared a first interim single-tier dividend of 0.25 sen per ordinary share, payable on Nov 20, 2026.
