1.INDONESIA USES 4.6 MILLION LITERS OF WATER TO FIGHT WILDFIRES -- ANTARA A total of 4.6 million litres of water have been used in aerial firefighting operations against wildfires across six priority provinces, but efforts remain hampered by difficult terrain, shrinking water supplies, and weather conditions, according to Indonesia's disaster mitigation agency BNPB.

 

2.INDONESIA'S FIRST AIRCRAFT CARRIER BEGINS VOYAGE FROM ITALY -- ANTARA Indonesia's first aircraft carrier, the ITS Giuseppe Garibaldi, departed Italy on Monday night and is expected to arrive in Indonesia in mid-September, before being renamed KRI Gajah Mada.

1.PHP 4.4-BLN EMERGENCY LOAN FACILITY FOR CYCLONE-HIT MEMBERS IN PHILIPPINES -- PHILIPPINE NEWS AGENCY

More than 166,000 government workers and pensioners in nine cyclone-hit areas in Luzon may avail of a PHP4.4-billion emergency loan facility of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), with application deadlines running until September or November depending on the locality.
